Robert Joyner

Robert L. Joyner Jr., PhD, RRT, RRT-ACCS, FAARC, is Director of the Richard A. Henson Research Institute at TidalHealth and Professor Emeritus at Salisbury University. A respiratory therapist, educator, physiologist, and clinical researcher, he has devoted his career to advancing respiratory care through education, scholarship, credentialing, and professional service. Dr. Joyner is a former President of the National Board for Respiratory Care and has served the NBRC since 2009. An AARC member since 1988 and Fellow since 2007, his work reflects a longstanding commitment to strengthening the profession and developing future generations of respiratory therapists.
