Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Across Lung and Left Heart Disease

Lisa Fuchs, EdD, MHA, RRT, CHWC, FAARC, FNAP, is the AARC Director of Education and Content and is an accomplished academic leader with more than 15 years of experience advancing health sciences education and accreditation excellence. Most recently, Lisa served as the Founding Program Director of the Master of Respiratory Care at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she developed both entry-to-practice and degree-completion pathways in collaboration with an Advisory Board. She holds a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Healthcare, a Master of Healthcare Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management. A Fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care (FAARC), she is a nationally recognized advocate for inclusive excellence, health equity, and community-engaged education.  

Stephen Biehl, RRT is the Manager of Pulmonary Function and Bronchoscopy at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he oversees pulmonary diagnostics, bronchoscopy services, and a multidisciplinary team of respiratory therapists, pulmonary function technologists, exercise physiologists, and support staff. He has extensive experience in pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, pulmonary rehabilitation, and respiratory care, with a strong focus on quality improvement, staff development, and adherence to evidence-based clinical standards. Stephen is actively involved in professional education and leadership initiatives, presenting at regional and national conferences and advancing pulmonary diagnostics and respiratory care.
