The AARC is proud to offer grant funding to support marketing efforts that advance RT education. These grants may be submitted by program directors at schools offering Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs in respiratory therapy.
“With dedicated resources for targeted outreach, programs can more effectively highlight the impact, versatility, and career stability of the RT profession. Strong marketing efforts not only raise awareness among potential students who may not yet know RT exists, but also help diversify the applicant pool, strengthen program sustainability, and support the long‑term growth of the respiratory care workforce. By investing in marketing, the AARC empowers programs to elevate the profession’s profile in their communities and ensure a steady pipeline of skilled respiratory therapists to meet future patient needs,” said Sarah M. Varekojis, PhD, RRT, RRT-ACCS, FNAP, FAARC, Co-Chair, AARC Education Barriers Committee.
Programs may request up to $2,500 per application per year. Funding is not guaranteed, and the awarded amount will be determined by the selection criteria in the application and the number of completed applications received.
Doug Gardenhire, EdD, RRT, RRT-NPS, FAARC, Co-Chair, AARC Education Barriers Committee, also added, “The AARC recognizes the significant challenges many institutions face in recruiting students. This funding will provide programs with additional resources and much-needed financial support that may not otherwise be available. I am proud of the team that worked diligently to bring this opportunity to fruition, and I am grateful to AARC leadership for their vision and continued investment in respiratory therapy education.”
