AARC is excited to announce Nancy Calaway, CAE, as its new Vice President of Marketing and Communications. With more than two decades of experience in marketing and communications, Nancy brings high-quality storytelling to association members – serving as the invisible voice of the members and for the members.

Nancy was the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at the American College of Emergency Physicians, where she supported the nation’s ER doctors for 23 years. During her tenure, she earned multiple awards for the association’s magazine and, in 2017, was named DFWAE’s Association Executive Leader of the Year. Before that, she worked as a newspaper reporter for The Dallas Morning News, covering crime and criminal justice. Both roles taught her to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and execute with lightning-fast speed.

She graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and now lives in Fort Worth with her husband, their 17-year-old son, and a rescued basset hound named Hank. Fiercely loyal to a No. 2 yellow pencil (simply because of the way the graphite looks on paper), Nancy is equally passionate about her other joys – baseball, all things Disney, and Bruce Springsteen.
