Share Your Expertise: Submit to the AARC Content Hub

The AARC Content Hub is your space to connect, inspire, and be heard. We want to hear the ideas, perspectives, and stories that are truly shaping the future of respiratory care. Whether you’re a student, clinician, educator, or leader, sharing your experience ensures your voice reaches and informs the profession.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking clinical insights, career guidance, thought leadership, and personal essays on your RT experience. Your authentic voice is what helps advance the science and practice of the profession.

We encourage submissions from:

  • Respiratory Therapists across all specialties
  • RT students and recent grads 
  • Educators
  • Department directors and managers
  • Researchers

New to writing? We welcome first-time authors! If you have a compelling story but aren't sure how to structure it, AARC is here to support you. We want to elevate your voice and can work with you to refine your draft.

Suggested Topics (but not limited to these areas): 

  • Clinical Excellence: Mechanical ventilation, pulmonary disease management (COPD, Asthma, etc.), diagnostics, neonatal/pediatrics, sleep, adult acute care, transport, and critical care strategies
  • Career Advancement: Leadership skills, mentorship, navigating the workforce, job skill development
  • Advocacy: Patient advocacy, public health initiatives, local legislative work
  • The RT Experience: Stories of impact with patients and the community 
  • Innovation: Emerging technology and the future of respiratory care

What We’re Not Looking For

  • Research Papers: If you are interested in submitting a clinical/research paper, please review the guidelines for submissions to the Respiratory Care Journal.
  • Product or Service Promotions: Content designed primarily to sell a device or service.
  • Political Partisanship: Content regarding unrelated political conflicts; we focus on policy strictly as it relates to healthcare and respiratory practice.
  • Previously Published Work: We want fresh content for our members.
  • Poetry or Fiction

What to Know Before You Submit

  • Authenticity Matters: We respect your professional voice. While we may edit for clarity, and style, we want your unique perspective to shine through.
  • Review Process: We review all submissions but cannot guarantee publication. We prioritize stories that are timely and align with current AARC initiatives.
  • Format: We accept both story ideas (a summary of what you want to write) and complete drafts.
  • Response Time: Due to the volume of submissions, we may not be able to reply to every story idea immediately. If you do not receive a reply within 5 business days, please feel free to email us at newsroom@aarc.org.
  • Editorial Standards: If your story is accepted, you must be willing to work with the editor on requested revisions to ensure the piece meets AARC standards.
  • Word Count: Standard stories are typically 300–500 words.
