Journal Intern Opportunity Available

Respiratory Care is looking for a respiratory therapist intern to learn peer-review processes and other Journal activities. Interns will:

• Prepare CRCE questions and visual abstracts.
• Participate remotely in weekly staff meetings.
• Shadow editorial staff in the manuscript decision process.
• Assist editor-in-chief in editorial decisions as assigned.
• Prepare a paper for publication in Respiratory Care.
• Maintain confidentiality of all Journal activities.

Qualifications include:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum baccalaureate degree; graduate degree preferred
• Minimum five years of experience as a respiratory therapist
• Published in Respiratory Care or other peer-reviewed journals preferred
• Reviewer for Respiratory Care or another peer-reviewed journal preferred.

The intern must commit to eight hours/week for six months; either January to June 2027, or July to December 2027.
